Peace is not just mere absence of war.

Live in peace is to live together in respect, in the embrace of the difference as a necessary condition for the growth of society. The inequality, the inequality of opportunities, the social injustice and structural poverty are lack of peace. They are forms of violence such profound and devastating as the war.

We believe that not only a Nobel Prize, a president or social activist can build peace. Peace is a construction that begins in an individual decision, and that gives to a building that needs to be collective.

We can all act for peace if we want a less violent world.

Programs with schools

Foundation for Democracy sees education as one of the most powerful tools. Looking through her to the reinforcement of those values that allow you to generate citizens aware and empowered, engaged, critical and active in the construction of a world less violent and more inclusive.

It is for this reason that we have a long track record of working with schools and colleges of the Rosary. At every meeting, we discuss with the children what they understand by democracy, peace, slavery, trafficking, grooming, bullying, and cyberbullying. We try to learn from the exchange with the students and they take the message that we all have a role to play to improve our environment. The sum of these individual actions leads to global change.

I'm x Peace

Voyxlapaz it is a show that raises an ambitious three-day agenda that seeks to position the peace as a theme to work with.

We intend to convey the idea that not only a Nobel Peace Prize laureate, a president or social activist, builds peace: everyone from our place, whatever our activity, we can build peace. Poverty, lack of equal opportunities, lack of access to education or health, the corruption that gangrene in the deeper tissues of the whole of Latin America and the world, are the absence of peace.

We are convinced that a less violent world is possible, and this depends on the society. Voyxlapaz it is a call to a collective construction for a future of peace.
