The idea of democracy is one of the human creations more wonderful, because its foundations allow societies to be much more free, just, and equitable than those where the democratic system is breached or is absent.
Democracy requires, for its support, the permanent commitment of the citizens that inhabit it.
The consolidation of any democratic project demands the respect of the rights of citizens, something that is often meets unevenly since the evidence shows that, despite their immense strength, but not all states to ensure full compliance.
It is the first museum to the Democracy suite in the world. It is a project conceived with the aim of generating a plural and inclusive, from where they promote the values of freedom, justice, democracy and respect for human rights.
This Museum can be seen as a window on the world of the present, to their areas of shadow, but also to their territories of light, those in which men and women are struggling to extend the ideals of equity and justice, the essential pillars, among others, of any democratic system.
We could say that this is the first sketch to the museum, now we have to build together, with the experience and opinion of each visitor, the museum as dynamic and changing as Democracy itself.
Visit our museum. Tuesday to Saturday, from 11 a 18 hs. Free entry and free.
