About the documentary
Behind the Passion is the investigation by Fundación para la Democracia into the conditions of the migrant workers who built the stadiums, hotels and roads of the Qatar 2022 World Cup. The team traveled to Nepal to listen to the families of the workers who died and to those who made it back.
The investigation is led by Guillermo Whpei, president of Fundación para la Democracia, the International Museum for Democracy and the Federation of International Human Rights Museums (FIHRM).
Hosting a World Cup is a privilege. Whoever does it must guarantee real human rights standards. Qatar must be a turning point. Never again should football be tied to death.
